These three songs landed in my consciousness between 2011 and 2013. Back then, I didn’t have the skills yet to record and arrange them exactly as I heared them in my head. So like a special bottle of reserva wine, I put them on the shelf for a couple of years to let them ripen and develop. I think now is right time to open the bottle and serve them to you.
Made with classic synthesizers and 808 beats, the downtepo electronic songs are reminiscent of the late 80’s and early 90’s, with a touch of nu jazz. For the title song Merge, I teamed up with Mexican musicians MIDI_Pipe and Eliud Ernandes whom I met during her first Mexican tour in 2018. Italian deejay/producer Belabouche remixed the song Merge, as did debuting producer j melon. The artwork is made by Mexican Artists Cabeza de Caset.
Inspired by the Mexican collaboration, I will return to Mexico and play a release concert at Pizzajazz in Mexico City on Saturday 26 January. This concert is part of a mini Mexico City tour with MIDI_Pipe in January, with shows on the 24th at Raices Centro Cultural, the 27th at Terraza MontRose and the 29th at Capitan Gallo.
